It’s Birthday Week!

As you may have guessed from the subject line today, this week is my birthday! Woot! Although I do not plan on admitting how old I am getting, I am planning to share some fun goodies with you! 🙂 On top of my normal book offerings, I rounded up some FREEBIES to share with you. I mean, afterall, you know what they say? It’s better to give than to receive, and I so… I wanted to give back to all of you who have supported me during this last year.

It’s been a wild ride getting this author gig off the ground, but I have loved it and I look forward to continuing to move forward. 🙂 And I absolutely could NOT have done it without the help of all of you wonderful readers. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart for generosity, your support and your patience as I continue to learn and grow in this craft. And so… without further ado, I will share all my book offerings today. First will be our normal new releases, the freebies will be at the bottom with just the titles. (in order to keep the email shorter, I won’t be putting all the book covers in)

So load up your kindle/reading devices and have a party for me! 🙂

A Plethora of Pumpkins!

Happy Almost Fall! 🙂 In just a few days we hit the first official day of Fall and I have to admit I’ve already been prepping. Now… for those of you who have been with me for awhile, you know I’m a total sun girl. Beach, sun, waves… THAT is my very favorite thing of all. However, there’s something soothing about fall. Right now there’s a nice, consistent rain going on, the sound is soft and peaceful. The grey skies help counteract the glare of the summer sun and the rich, emerging colors are always amazing.

Yesterday we harvested our pumpkins and for once, my front porch actually looks decorated. I’m TERRIBLE at decorating, whether inside or out of my house, but right now… I look pretty good. Yesterday we pulled 65 pumpkins. I live on just under an acre and have a decent sized garden, so we let things like pumpkins and melons have free reign. In fact, would you like to see what we pulled? Here ya go!

Aren’t those fun? You can’t see them very well, but there are some that are covered in warts and they are my FAVORITE! So fun and Halloweeny. 🙂 Okay, okay, enough pumpkin bragging. I think it’s time to move on to more important matters, like helping you find a fun book to read this week! I’ve got some great ones to share. Take a look!

Short and Sweet, Just a Little Treat!

Happy, Happy Monday! It’s the start of a brand new week and my weather is definitely on the fall-ish side today! Wind is whipping and skies are overcast. Of course, in my part of the Pacific Northwest, this is what winter looks like. Grey, grey and more… grey. I really don’t mind it. Sometimes we get slammed with snow, (the last 2 winters have been CRAZY!), but normally we get grey skies and cold wind.

I live in the rain shadow of the Cascade Mountains, so my area is actually considered a desert. Even with 3 rivers running through my space, we are full of sand and tumbleweeds. Explaining that to people when I was in college was fun, no one believed me! Everyone thinks of the lush side of the states which are near the coast, not knowing about us little people over here. *shrug*

But truth be told I love my area. If I could change it at all, I would bring down the wind (Chicago has nothing on us!) but other than that, we tend to stay fairly mild, and it’s fantastic. 🙂

Anyway, enough about my weather! Let me tell you about some exciting stuff coming up! I am just about to send my first Christmas book to my beta readers! Woot! Remember, I’m planning to release 6 short stories in rapid succession. (The hope is 1 per week for 6 weeks, but… ya know… life!)  Each book is only going to be .99 and will be a sweet, little bite of Christmas fun with a mistletoe kiss! *sigh* I love mistletoe. Such a great tradition!

Anyway! I’ll start releasing those in the last part of October/ early November, so keep an eye out!

Until then, I have a couple of fun releases to share with you. Only 2 today, but they look great. Take a look!

Pinkerton Agent Vincent Brooks wants only one thing – to stop the southern rebels from uprising and creating another war. His assignment is to be the temporary sheriff of Bonham, Texas, which seems easy enough… until he runs across a woman he’d met eight months earlier, Francis Carlton, sneaking around in the dark, spying on the bank.

The Box Set is Live and on Sale!

Happy, happy Monday! It’s Labor Day here in the US, which means it’s barbecue time! Our family does a big feast every Labor Day because we use the holiday to celebrate the birthday of my twins, who were born in the first week of September. Since Labor Day is always the first Monday in September, that means sometimes their birthday falls on that day. 🙂 So it has become tradition to do a family birthday party and barbecue. This week, my girls are turning 11! I can’t believe how big they are getting. Their personalities are definitely starting to sound more ‘tween’ than ‘little girl’ any more. *sigh* Time is a thief! 😉

For those of you in the US, have a great holiday! For those of you outside my country, have a great Monday!

And now, onto the book side of life. The revised boxset is live! This is Middleton Prep 0-3. So it contains:
A Home for the Ugly Duckling
The Librarian and Her Beast
A Prince for Ms. Snow
Waking Ms. Briar

Right now it is on sale for 2.99, which is the price of 1 Middleton Prep book. So it’s a screamin’ deal! 4 books for the price of 1. I don’t know how long I will leave it at this price, it will depend on how well it is moving, but I promise to give it at least a week for anyone who would like to grab it while it’s cheap. 🙂

Now, some of you have already bought my books and for that, THANK YOU! I would love to help you get the revised versions of those stories. I will not claim the new books are 100% free of typos and errors, but I will say they are vastly improved. My Beta crew is amazingly fantastic, but every once in awhile things still slip through the cracks, so my stories will never be perfect, but it should be much easier to read now. 🙂

Okay, here is how you update for books you already have:
All you have to do is head to the Manage Your Kindle Item
on the Amazon menu
Click the “update available” next to any book that has an update.
Then click the Update this title now link.

If you have trouble with this, let me know and we’ll get you figured out. 🙂 And now! Onto the fun part! I have some fun stories to share with you, take a look!

Can an Ugly Duckling find the home she has always longed for?
Can a librarian and a football coach overcome their differences in order to find true love?
Can a game of Secret Santa bring two shy teachers together?

Let the School Schedule Begin!

School week has finally arrived! Tomorrow morning I will officially have a high schooler (yikes!) a middle schooler, and 3 elementary schoolers. Whew! This is our first time on a 3 school schedule and I’m just a tad nervous about how it will all work out. I’m sure we’ll make it work, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a bit of fumbling around first. 🙂

These next few years will bring big changes in my household. Now that I have one in high school, we get to start entering the driving years, Friday night football games, and school dances! Crazy! I don’t feel like I should be this old yet, but… I am! In fact, I just got invited to a Facebook group for my 20 year high school reunion, which is next summer. Yep. I graduated at the turn of the century in the big year 2000. Which actually was a little bit of a let down because all of our shirts and stuff say ’00 on the back. Kind of makes it look like we didn’t graduate at all. lol.

So wish me luck this week as we get our next big adventure started!

Now, onto a more book-related note. I am finishing up the revision of book #3 in the Middleton Prep series. Book #1 and #2 are already done and out. “The Librarian and Her Beast ended up with the most revisions. I kept the story line mostly intact, but actually rewrote the entire thing in order to make it all flow better. “Ms. Cinder’s Prince” ended up being more of a typo style revision, although I did shift a few of the scenes to make them a little more believable. Book #3, “Waking Ms. Briar” is requiring less story change and mostly just typo work. (which is good because rewriting an already written story is harder than I thought!) But the reason I’m announcing all this is because next week I’ll be putting out the first box set again. Right now, only the single books have the revised copies in them. When I put out the boxset, it will be on sale for the first while. You’ll get 3 books for the price of 1! So, I’ll be sure to send you the link in next week’s email. And after that, there will be more box sets to follow. In the end, I will have a full box set of the entire series, which will be priced at $9.99 for all the books. 10 books for $10 isn’t too bad! 🙂

Anyway, I just wanted to give you a heads up on how that was going. 🙂  And now! Onto this week’s new releases! Lots of fun stories are coming out, just as many of us have a little more time to ourselves with school starting. Take a look!
