How are you feeling about that? I’ve heard some areas are already getting out, but because of snow days, my kiddos are in until June 14th. I have to admit to having mixed feelings of them being home. Now, don’t get me wrong. I homeschooled for 3 years, so I know what’s it’s like to have them underfoot 24/7. What I struggle with during the summer is keeping them busy.
I’m a huge outdoor mom. I kick my kids out of the house ALL THE TIME! I think they need down time, they need time to play and use their imaginations, but… I have a couple of kids that when they get bored… they get destructive. *sigh* Sometimes they remind me of puppies. If you don’t keep them busy, they chew up everything.
However, I love the flexibility of summer and giving my kids a break from the crazy hectic schedule of school. Why is there never any good middle ground? 🙂 Ha, whining is super attractive, right? Okay, enough of that. For the giveaway this month, I thought I’d hand out a little Summer Sanity Saver. (if you don’t have kids coming home for the summer, it can be a Save Me from the Summer Heat prize) 😉
Okay, the usual rules apply! Respond to this email, answer my question and next week’s winner will get a FREE Boxset! (if you have the books in the boxset, we can totally talk about another ebook)
This month’s question:
When reading a series, do you prefer
1) a series where the characters are related somehow through the series (such as the siblings in my billionaire books or all the teachers who work together in Middleton Prep)
OR
2) a series based off a specific trope rather than the people. (an example of this would be Elana Johnson’s “Stranded in Paradise” series. Every book involves a couple getting stranded on an island, but the characters from book to book have nothing to do with each other)
That’s it! Do you prefer 1 or 2? Or do you like both? Maybe it doesn’t matter to you as long as the book is enjoyable? Hit reply, let me know your thoughts and you will be entered! Meanwhile, take a look at this week’s new releases, they look fantastic! 🙂 |
