Good morning, good morning, good morning!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I have a mixed bag of holiday treats for you today! First of all… THANK YOU!!! To everyone who helped support “Mistletoe Magic”. It had a fantastic launch last week and if the reviews are anything to go by, people have thoroughly been enjoying the story and man… that just makes me warm and fuzzy all over. *MWAH!* You are the best!

On that same note, “Mistletoe Mayhem” launches today! Woot! Since this series was all short stories, I decided to put out one a week and #2 is here! If you read #1, then you’ll know who Grace and Vaughn are, well, this is their story. I have to tell you that after I finished it, I had a little tear in my eye. Whew! *imagine me fanning myself* Vaughn really surprised me at the end of the story and had a lot more to say than I expected. I hope you enjoy him as much as I did! 🙂

As you may have guessed from the subject line today, this week is my birthday! Woot! A Plethora of Pumpkins!

Happy Almost Fall! 🙂 In just a few days we hit the first official day of Fall and I have to admit I’ve already been prepping. Now… for those of you who have been with me for awhile, you know I’m a total sun girl. Beach, sun, waves… THAT is my very favorite thing of all. However, there’s something soothing about fall. Right now there’s a nice, consistent rain going on, the sound is soft and peaceful. The grey skies help counteract the glare of the summer sun and the rich, emerging colors are always amazing.

Yesterday we harvested our pumpkins and for once, my front porch actually looks decorated. I’m TERRIBLE at decorating, whether inside or out of my house, but right now… I look pretty good. Yesterday we pulled 65 pumpkins. I live on just under an acre and have a decent sized garden, so we let things like pumpkins and melons have free reign. In fact, would you like to see what we pulled? Here ya go!

Aren’t those fun? You can’t see them very well, but there are some that are covered in warts and they are my FAVORITE! So fun and Halloweeny. 🙂 Okay, okay, enough pumpkin bragging. I think it’s time to move on to more important matters, like helping you find a fun book to read this week! I’ve got some great ones to share. Take a look!

Short and Sweet, Just a Little Treat!

Happy, Happy Monday! It’s the start of a brand new week and my weather is definitely on the fall-ish side today! Wind is whipping and skies are overcast. Of course, in my part of the Pacific Northwest, this is what winter looks like. Grey, grey and more… grey. I really don’t mind it. Sometimes we get slammed with snow, (the last 2 winters have been CRAZY!), but normally we get grey skies and cold wind.

I live in the rain shadow of the Cascade Mountains, so my area is actually considered a desert. Even with 3 rivers running through my space, we are full of sand and tumbleweeds. Explaining that to people when I was in college was fun, no one believed me! Everyone thinks of the lush side of the states which are near the coast, not knowing about us little people over here. *shrug*

But truth be told I love my area. If I could change it at all, I would bring down the wind (Chicago has nothing on us!) but other than that, we tend to stay fairly mild, and it’s fantastic. 🙂

Anyway, enough about my weather! Let me tell you about some exciting stuff coming up! I am just about to send my first Christmas book to my beta readers! Woot! Remember, I’m planning to release 6 short stories in rapid succession. (The hope is 1 per week for 6 weeks, but… ya know… life!) Each book is only going to be .99 and will be a sweet, little bite of Christmas fun with a mistletoe kiss! *sigh* I love mistletoe. Such a great tradition!

Anyway! I’ll start releasing those in the last part of October/ early November, so keep an eye out!

The Box Set is Live and on Sale!

Happy, happy Monday! It’s Labor Day here in the US, which means it’s barbecue time! Our family does a big feast every Labor Day because we use the holiday to celebrate the birthday of my twins, who were born in the first week of September. Since Labor Day is always the first Monday in September, that means sometimes their birthday falls on that day. 🙂 So it has become tradition to do a family birthday party and barbecue. This week, my girls are turning 11! I can’t believe how big they are getting. Their personalities are definitely starting to sound more ‘tween’ than ‘little girl’ any more. *sigh* Time is a thief! 😉

I will not claim the new books are 100% free of typos and errors, but I will say they are vastly improved. My Beta crew is amazingly fantastic, but every once in awhile things still slip through the cracks, so my stories will never be perfect, but it should be much easier to read now. 🙂
